INFORMATION AND CONDITIONS
FOR VIDEO CLIP SUBMISSIONS

For participating dance schools, you can send short, relevant, personal clips to be included in a reel within the edit or as a separate short film on your DVD. The clips can be filmed on a phone or similar device and sent to us by email, WhatsApp or a file transfer system such as WeTransfer.

If you would like to submit contributions for the reel please read the guidance notes and terms below. If you have any questions you can email us and we'll be happy to help. Then all you need to do is check the box to say you want to send contributions and we'll send you an email with all the relevant information you need on how to send your clips to us.

GUIDANCE NOTES

​

Clips should ideally be filmed landscape where possible. Try to keep them under 30 seconds in length and they should be no longer than 60 seconds.

​

Please keep the content relevant to the main film. For example, you could film clips of your pre-show routine, of you preparing hair / make up etc, packing your costume and make up or leaving to go to the show. You could also include short pieces to camera about how you're feeling before / after the show, a message to the audience or something like that. Think of the reel as a behind the scenes video diary around the show.

Please respect other people's privacy. If you have family or friends in the clip, make sure you have their permission (even if they are only in the background) and of course make sure no personal information is included in the clips as we can't blur parts of the footage.

Please keep the content appropriate for everyone to watch. We check the clips and will delete anything that includes bad language or images we consider inappropriate.

We'll let you know the deadline for sending clips to us and the contact details to send them to. The clips must be sent by the phone number / email address registered with us and that must belong to someone over 18, anyone under 18 can't send clips directly from their device.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Clips must be sent by a contact number or email registered with us that belongs to someone over the age of 18.

​

2. Clips will be stored on a hard drive and removed from any other devices within 2 days of receipt.

​

3. Clips will only be used on the edit of the show for which they were submitted. They will not be shared or used in any other way (including in other showreels, on social media or in any publicity) and will be deleted from the storage device 1 month after the show edit has been signed off.

4. You must have permission from anyone in the clips you send. Once the edit is completed and signed off it is not possible to withdraw the clips from circulation within the edit.

5. All clips submitted should be relevant to the main content and appropriate. The final reel will be signed off by the Principal of the organisation before the full film is distributed.Clips featuring any content we deem inappropriate will not be used. Content considered offensive, illegal or harmful will be reported to the dance school principal and, if necessary, the relevant authorities.​

 

​​6. Though we try to include as many contributions as possible, we cannot guarantee that every clip will be used.
